Myrickite
Cinnabar in Calcite and Quartz

Myrickite was first discovered by Francis Marion "Shady" Myrick, a famous gemstone prospector in Death Valley. The red in Myrickite is cinnabar.  Similar material has also been found in Mexico, Arizona and Nevada.

The stones I'm offering are cut from top quality Arizona material. It's a little different that the original Death Valley material and much nicer in my opinion. These stones have red cinnabar in a Calcite and Quartz matrix.

The red colors are extremely vivid red like you see in my photos!

Since these stones have various hardness the surface will sometimes have a slight uneveness.
