Kakortokite is a rare intrusive igneous stone. The name applies to eudialytic nepheline syenites found in southern Greenland. Similar rough from Alaska has been marketed as “Lopar’s Blood”.
No shortage of red eudialyte crystals in this cab. This a very nice example of this material.
Well cut for bezel or wire wrap setting with a flat back and domed top. Both sides have a smooth glossy polish.
